This edition of FCCC did justice to the legacy of the LGBTQ* Civil Rights Movement by celebrating an expansive/alternative response to the pink washed mainstream LGBTQ* pride parade in Zurich. We focused on building super diverse coalitions of care representing Mad, Disability, Refugee and LGBTQ* Pride. We don’t want mainstream inclusion, we want a revolution.
The Battlefield Nurse hosted a rally on stage in the club called, “PRIDE Is A Battlefield, The War Is Not Over Until Everyone’s Cared For!” The rally was a platform, a drag show, an engine of solidarity with nine super charged queer interventions on stage from local activists, performers, artists, Drag Queens and social workers who were all processing the complicated politics of care and dreaming otherwise about an expansive understanding of LGBTQ* PRIDE.
