Creature Feature was a performance series held at basso Berlin, curated by Jeremy Wade. Creature Feature faced the daunting task of mining hysteria, glitter, ecstasy, monstrosity, queerness, and otherness in the form of works in progress, improvisations, lectures, films, music and group experiences.
People entered the scape of basso, thresholds opened, energies were exchanged, and some incredible work took place. The space was charged with an overwhelming sense of community and connection.
The two year project ended in August 2011 with a total of 13 electric events. Wade curated the final iteration of Creature Feature as part of Tanz im August 2011. This event featured Wade’s “Group Warm-up”, alongside Florentina Holzing + Vincent Riebeek, Isabel Lewis, Jenn Joy, Dani Brown, Eike Wittrock, and Visual Artist Hannah Dougherty.
